Hand-embroidered borage flowers. Borage is a herb with folklore as a courage-boosting herb, possessing adrenaline-promoting and melancholy-relieving properties. Celtic warriors ingested it to boost morale, and the ancient Romans also believed it to be a medicine to relieve anxiety. The moments in which decisions are made and courage is given in everyday life often occur amidst sudden events and changes. I want to deliver a “moment that brings courage” to anyone who happens to come across this Oshibori before a meal.
