After the quarantine MAR begins to walk as an artistic practice in the mountain territory. Walking to inhabit uncertainty, reconnecting with nature as with the traces of the territory and the walkers of other times.
The walks continued in the Tajima hills region during an artist residency in March-April 2023 at Kinosaki International Art Center, Kinosaki, Japan.
MAR & R3NDER shared some walks. Between Argentina and Japan they walk more than 170 km. One of the recording coordinates were all the rivers that crossed their feet. This work, through the Oshibori, shows some rivers in the Sierras of Cordoba, Argentina and the Sierras of Tajima, Japan. Each river is on the other side of the world, but the water is a flow in constant movement. We hope that the choreography of the rivers touches and connects our territories!
