This landscape is woven by human hands, both my own and those of countless others.
I depicted the image of dots connecting with other dots to form lines on my fingertips, as if they were the seemingly endless steel towers and power lines seen from my atelier.

She creates hand-sewn sculpture and collages, and produces a range of works that include self-portraits staged with the objects she makes. Major exhibitions include “home again” (Maison Europeenne de la Photographie STUDIO, Paris, 2021) and The 58th Venice Biennale 2019 ( 2019). Major publications include GIFT (United Vagabonds, 2019). In 2020, she was the recipient of the 45th Kimura Ihei Award.
